Whenever you visit, you’ll find plenty of well-balanced options to choose from. Stop by for breakfast and visit our gourmet pancake station, or enjoy one of our unique hot cereal offerings. At lunch, look for handcrafted sandwiches, regionally inspired dishes and soups, as well as our carvery selections. For dinner, there’s everything from international favorites, comfort foods, customized stir-fry or pasta, plus a multitude of fresh fruit and salad choices.

Vines Wine Bar

Are you the sort of cruiser who never likes to eat in the same place twice? The vessel has a far more diverse array of eateries than any Princess ship to date — a conscious effort by the line to offer its customers more options. Another major family-friendly upgrade for Sun Princess is the addition of far more connecting cabins (100) than is typical for a Princess ship, as well as a new category of larger Cabana Mini-Suite cabins that will appeal to families looking for more space. In these all-new spaces, all you gotta do to recharge is take in the ocean vistas. Our Sea View Terrace sets the tone at the front, while the new Wake View Terrace features an infinity pool and aft life redefined. ▲3rd/4th berths available in select cabins.♦Single-occupancy interior staterooms with queen bed available.

Princess Cruises just unveiled its biggest ship ever — and it's loaded with new features

Named "Best Spa on a Cruise Ship" by Spafinder Wellness 365™, the Lotus Spa® offers a variety of relaxing treatments, such as facials, aroma stone therapy massages, detoxifying ocean wraps and an aromatherapy thermal suite. Or get ready for a night on the town at the salon which features women’s styling color, men’s haircuts and shaves, manicure and pedicure choices and teeth whitening. Good Spirits takes viewers around the globe in search of extraordinary everyday people, sharing stories of spirits and collecting farm-fresh, local ingredients to inspire one-of-a-kind cocktail creations. Immerse yourself in the region as skilled bartenders lead you through an immersive cocktail experience. The Ocean Terrace Sushi Bar is ideal for those who love to feast on the bounty from the sea. Inspired by the breathtaking view of the ocean, the sushi bar will tempt with premium seafood rolls and sashimi in a casual but elegant setting overlooking the spectacular Piazza.

It's got a lot more options for foodies

Sun Princess is the newest Princess cruise ship you can book right now. While the vessel isn't yet in operation, its initial sailings scheduled for February 2024 already are on sale, as are future voyages through March 2025. The one other Princess ship on order, Star Princess, has yet to open for bookings.

Good Spirits At Sea

Inaugural 2024 Sun Princess cruises to the Mediterranean and Europe are currently on sale, and Caribbean voyages will go on sale April 19, 2023. Windows grace nearly every public room, flooding them with natural light and sea views that are both appreciated and, these days, increasingly rare on big ships that tend to be quite inward-facing. For the first time since the 1990s, Princess has entirely re-thought its cabin design and layout. And while cabins on Sun Princess share some structural similarities with Carnival's Excel-class ships (think Mardi Gras, Carnival Celebration and Carnival Jubilee), fittings, fixtures and soft furnishings are all different and elevated. This contemporary lounge is "the place" for teens — perfect for hanging out and socializing with late-night movie viewing, hip hop dance classes, video game tournaments and sports competitions like dodgeball and basketball.

Enjoy a larger balcony with more room to view the beautiful scenery as you sail from destination to destination and take in the ocean breeze for a wonderful and romantic evening or morning. And with attentive service from a friendly crewmember that knows what hospitality means, you’ll find your Princess® ship truly is your home away from home. And with attentive service from a friendly staff that knows what hospitality means, you’ll find your Princess® ship truly is your home away from home. The suites themselves, while big in many cases, lack the sort of high-end design that you'll often find in top cruise ship suites. Unfortunately, Princess didn't cluster all the new suite features in one area, which seems odd given the line's executives said they started from a blank slate when designing this new class of vessels. Measuring 200 square feet, not including the balcony space, the Deluxe Balcony Staterooms are just big enough to fit in a queen size bed flanked by two small nightstands and an adjacent sitting area with a sofa and a (very) small coffee table.

We know you crave relaxation, so we created even more places to come feel the "ahhh!"

Complementing the exquisitely appointed interior living spaces, a luxuriously furnished over 1,000-square-foot continuous balcony – the largest in our fleet – invites you to relax privately or host your own celebrations or catered events. Photos, floor plan diagrams, amenities, and furnishings represent typical arrangements and may vary by ship and stateroom. Sun Princess is the first of an all-new class of ships at Princess Cruises that are far bigger and more venue-packed than any vessel the line has debuted before.

Sea Breeze Rollglider® and The Net Ropes Course

At the ship’s aft end, the infinity-style Wakeview pool and bar offer spectacular views of the horizon. Enjoy more living space, a separate seating area with sofa bed, enhanced amenities that range from priority embarkation and disembarkation to a complimentary mini-bar setup in suite and so much more. Princess' oldest cruise ships are significantly smaller than its newest ships and lack some of the above features. They have a more intimate feel, at least in the pantheon of relatively big, mass-market ships, and they hold fewer people. While Royal-class ships can hold more than 4,500 passengers with every berth full, the line's oldest vessels (particularly the relatively small Island Princess and Coral Princess) often sail with just 2,000 or so passengers on board. In general, Princess Cruises' newest ships are bigger and more venue-packed than its older ships.

That said, as I am seeing this week, there's still a lot on Sun Princess that Princess regulars will recognize. It's a ship designed to be evolutionary for the brand, not revolutionary. While the finishings aren't luxurious, Deluxe Balcony Staterooms (the type of cabin that I was in and the most common cabin category on the ship) have an inviting, modern look with the right amount of furnishings and amenities, all in the right places. Umai Teppanyaki (also $45 per person, fixed price) is a classic Teppanyaki eatery, complete with chefs yukking it up while they cook in front of you in a way your kids will love. Alas, it's a venue marred by its location, as the noise from entertainment in the Piazza is overwhelming.

In addition to premium stateroom amenities, Signature Collection suites include access to the Signature Restaurant, Signature Lounge and Signature Sun Deck, a private area of the Sanctuary. From the moment you step aboard, we want you to feel welcomed and right at home. And with attentive service from a friendly staff that knows what hospitality means, you’ll find your Princess ship truly is your home away from home. Provides non-stop entertainment throughout the day and each evening with trivia, game shows, the Daily Wake Show, live concerts and late-night comedy. Our new design is relaxed and right next to the nearby dining venues — Crown Grill and Good Spirits At Sea — seamlessly integrating your entertainment and dining favorites. Newer Princess ships generally are bigger than older Princess ships and thus have more and bigger onboard venues than the line's older vessels.

This impressive stateroom offers the added indulgence of a balcony and gives you more space than a standard stateroom. Enjoy your own private outdoor space with a table, two chairs, and a relaxing view of the inspiring scenery surrounding you, whether a beautiful sunset over the ocean or a new city to explore. It’s also perfect to enjoy cocktails before dinner or a leisurely breakfast. In addition, these staterooms include either a roll-in shower or transfer shower equipped with grab bars and a fold-down bench seat, an easy access closet and accessible writing desk.

Billed as an "artistic-inspired dining experience" designed in partnership with the artist Romero Britto, it'll overlook the wake of the ship in a space that isn't quite ready. We know you love spending time with your favorite people, so we created a (tip)top-deck space everyone can enjoy...together. Soar like a bird 19 decks above the waves on the Sea Breeze Rollglider®, a first at sea.(You can even go for a ride now with this AR preview!) It's just a taste of what you'll find at this wonderland for kids and adults alike.

Among other standout venues, Sun Princess features a secret hideaway for magical performances designed in partnership with the Magic Castle performance venue in Los Angeles. At 175,500 tons, Sun Princess will be about 21% bigger than the biggest ships currently in the Princess fleet — a significant jump in size for the line. And yet, while it's 21% bigger, it's designed to hold just 17% more passengers. It'll be made up of at least two vessels, the first of which (Sun Princess) is due to debut in February 2024. The Sphere-class vessels are being built at the Fincantieri shipyard near Monfalcone, Italy.

The Family offering does not end at Park19, however – Sun Princess has a number of new cabin types which are family-focused, including the new Cabana cabins. "Park 19 is going to be an outstanding experience space, multi-generational, engaging, and what it does is create some great interactive attractions, everyone can participate and it allows us to serve the multigenerational cruise market," explains Padgett. Then in the evening it becomes an entertainment venue with a little bit of a South Beach vibe, state-of-the-art lighting effects and a portfolio of new aerial entertainment shows. "It also has some terraced viewing within the Piazza so you don't have to be on the rail anymore to see the entertainment and activities. You have much better sightlines both interior and exterior across the ship." It is not a "cookie-cutter" ship (i.e. part of a standard class used across fleets), but a brand-new design, unique to Princess, which began life as a few lines on the back of a napkin back in 2017. Earlier today, Princess President John Padgett, along with Discovery Princess officers, welcomed the first guests, Michael and Sally Smith, onboard with a special ceremony.

Princess Cruises' new Sun Princess set sail on its maiden voyage just a few weeks ago, after being delivered to Princess from Italy's Fincantieri shipyard February 14, 2024. Crafted by some of the world’s top directors and choreographers, our remarkable and dynamic Princess productions transport you to realms as exotic as the destinations we visit. Imaginative shows created in-house feature dazzling stage sets, Broadway classics, popular hits and original numbers performed by some of the largest and most talented casts at sea. From gaming lessons to the latest slot machines to prize tournaments, our Casinos offer fun and excitement. If you enjoy blackjack, or “21,” and Texas Hold 'Em, our tables play by Vegas rules and if you relish the challenge of roulette, we offer the American version.
